A new well means residents no longer walk hours each day for water.

A small village in Kenya now has clean drinking water for the first time, after a group of volunteers helped build a new well.

Before the well was built, many families walked for two or three hours every day to collect water from a river, and the water was often not safe to drink.

The new well provides clean water close to the village, which local leaders say has already reduced illness among children.

With less time spent collecting water, more children are now able to attend school regularly.
